Following the successful "Chipol Guangan" ship trade and "cloud handover" on May 12th 2020, CP Development purchased two 33,000 DWT multi-purpose vessels from German sellers named "Chipol Yongan" (formerly known as Berlin Trader) and "Chipol Changan" (formerly known as Roma Trader). On September 15th, the two sides formally signed a contract to buy and sell ships, and on October 16th and 20th successfully achieved the "cloud handover”. Upon the successful completion of the handover these two ships, one after another commenced their operations further enhancing service capacity and fleet replenishment concept.  

Originally, both ships were manned with foreign crews. During the pandemic, the foreign crew change and the general expiration of contracts exercised a lot of pressure on ship operation and management. Finally, through unrested efforts in order to overcome many other difficulties, both ships successfully completed the change of the foreign crew.  

The crew change on board of "Chipol Yongan" was scheduled in Qingdao Port on October 17th. The Shanghai CP Int’l Ship Management & Broker Co., Ltd arranged for ship personnel to be stationed in Qingdao site for half a month before joining the vessel with the huge assistance of local customs, maritime, port, epidemic prevention office, and finally with a strong all-closed-loop shift epidemic prevention program managed to complete the demanding process of crew change. 

The crew change on board of "Chipol Changan" took place on October 21st in Shanghai Port with strong support of Shanghai Municipal Government, The Transport Commission, the Maritime Bureau, Luolu Port and other relevant government departments and units, led by the Shanghai CP Int’l Ship Management & Broker Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Chipoline, Chipolbrok Shipping Company.
